1. Who We Are

Home EDventure (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an Australian online learning platform based in Victoria, connecting families and educators through live, interactive homeschool classes for children across Australia and beyond.

We also operate the Homeschool Community Australia sub-site (community.homeedventure.com.au), a social hub for homeschooling parents. Together these services form the “Home EDventure Network”.

2. Who This Policy Covers
Parents and Guardians
  • Must be 18 years or older to create an account.

  • Responsible for managing your child’s enrolments and participation.

  • Must supervise all class activity.

Educators

  • Must be 18 years or older and provide a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) or equivalent.

  • Must deliver age-appropriate, safe, and compliant classes.

  • Consent to session recordings for safety and quality assurance.

3. Account Registration and Responsibilities

By creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current information.

  • Keep your login credentials confidential.

  • Avoid unauthorised sharing or access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or compromise user safety.

4. Class Enrolments and Participation
Parents
  • Enrolling confirms your child’s participation in the scheduled class.

  • Cancellations follow the class provider’s policy.

  • Class materials and recordings are for personal, non-commercial use only.

Educators
  • Must deliver classes as scheduled.

  • Must maintain a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment.

  • Consent to recording for compliance and support purposes.

5. Payments and Refunds
  • All payments are processed securely via third-party gateways (e.g. Stripe).

  • Home EDventure may collect a platform service fee.

  • Refund terms appear on each class page before enrolment.

  • All fees are in AUD (Australian Dollars) unless stated otherwise.

6. Use of the Platform

By using our platform, you agree not to:

  • Engage in harassment, hate speech, or disruptive behaviour.

  • Post or share inappropriate or illegal content.

  • Use the platform for unauthorised commercial or solicitation purposes.

  • Attempt to access or damage any system components or other accounts.

We may remove content or accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

All Home EDventure content—including logos, class videos, text, curriculum, and designs—is protected by copyright and other IP laws.

Educators retain ownership of original materials but grant Home EDventure a licence to use, display, and store them for safety, quality, and promotional purposes.

8. Class Recordings

Home EDventure may record live online classes for the purposes of:

  • Supporting student learning when a student is absent.
  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students and educators.
  • Monitoring and improving teaching quality.
  • Resolving support requests or disputes.

Recordings may include participants’ video, audio, names displayed in Zoom, and chat messages.

Class recordings are stored securely and are not publicly available. Where a recording is shared, it will only be made available to the parent or guardian of a student who was enrolled in that class and was unable to attend, for the sole purpose of catching up on the missed lesson.

Parents and students must not download, copy, share, distribute, publish, or use class recordings for any purpose other than their child’s personal educational use without the prior written permission of Home EDventure.

By enrolling in our classes, you acknowledge and consent to the recording of live sessions and the limited use of those recordings as described above.

9. Platform Access and Changes

We strive for uninterrupted service but cannot guarantee it.
Features or policies may change at any time; significant updates will be communicated via email or platform notice.

10. Legal Compliance

Users must comply with Australian law, including the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic), the Working With Children Act 2005 (Vic), and other applicable child-safety standards.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Home EDventure is not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • Technical faults, class interruptions, or scheduling issues.

  • Content accuracy or outcomes of classes.
