Home EDventure (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an Australian education platform based in Victoria, connecting families and educators through online learning.
This policy also applies to our affiliated parent network at community.homeedventure.com.au.

2. Scope of This Policy

This policy covers:

• Parents and guardians managing student accounts.

• Educators delivering classes.

• Children participating through parent-managed profiles.

Children do not create their own accounts.

3. Information We Collect

Parents/Guardians:

• Name, email, payment details, class preferences.

Educators:

• Name, contact info, WWCC or equivalent, bio, teaching content, class recordings.

Children:

• First name or nickname, age range, learning interests, and class participation data (video/audio/chat).

Automatically Collected:

• IP address, browser, device type, and usage analytics (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, cookies).

4. How We Collect Data

We collect data when you:

• Create an account or enrol/teach a class.

• Communicate with our team.

• Interact with our website or community platform.

• Use integrated third-party services (Zoom, Stripe, MailerLite).

5. How We Use Your Data

We use information to:

• Operate and personalise your account and classes.

• Process payments and enrolments.

• Communicate updates and respond to support requests.

• Ensure safety and compliance with legal standards.

• Improve our website and offerings.

• Send newsletters (opt-in only).

6. Class Recordings

Home EDventure may record live online classes for the purposes of:

• Supporting student learning when a student is absent.
• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students and educators.
• Monitoring and improving teaching quality.
• Resolving support requests or disputes.

Recordings may include participants’ video, audio, names displayed in Zoom, and chat messages.

Class recordings are stored securely and are not publicly available. Where a recording is shared, it will only be made available to the parent or guardian of a student who was enrolled in that class and was unable to attend, for the sole purpose of catching up on the missed lesson.

Parents and students must not download, copy, share, distribute, publish, or use class recordings for any purpose other than their child’s personal educational use without the prior written permission of Home EDventure.

By enrolling in our classes, you acknowledge and consent to the recording of live sessions and the limited use of those recordings as described above.

7. Information Sharing

We may share limited data:

• With educators to conduct classes.

• With trusted service providers for payment, email, or hosting.

• As required by law or for child-protection obligations.

We never sell personal data.

8. Data Security and Storage

We follow APP 11 by implementing industry-standard encryption, secure servers, and limited-access storage.
Data is retained only as long as necessary for legitimate educational or legal purposes.

9. Your Rights (Under APP 12-13 & Vic Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014)**

You may:

• Access and correct your personal data.

• Request deletion of your account.

• Withdraw consent for marketing communications.

10. Children’s Privacy

We comply with:

• Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)

• Australian Privacy Principles 1–13

• Victorian Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014

• COPPA (US) for international users

Parental consent is required for any child participation or data collection.

11. International Users

By using our platform, you consent to the transfer of data to Australia for processing and storage under Australian law.

We may amend this policy periodically. Material updates will be announced via email or in-platform notice.
