About This Course
Science • History • Geography • English • Ethics
Our younger classes are so popular we knew it was time to create something just as exciting for older kids — and Survival Mode is exactly that.
This is a one-of-a-kind weekly co-op class designed specifically for teens where every week explores the same big theme through a completely different lens. One week it’s science, the next it’s history, then geography, English and ethics — all woven together through one exciting theme that will have your Tween/teen genuinely looking forward to class every single week.
This term’s theme is Survival. And this is NOT a class where teens sit quietly and get talked at. Every week is discussion heavy, challenge based and designed to get teens thinking, debating and connecting with each other in a real and meaningful way.
This term your teen will explore:
- 🔬 The science of survival — what your body actually does in a crisis
- 📜 The greatest survival stories in history — real people, impossible odds
- 🌍 The world’s most hostile environments and how people survive them
- ✍️ Creative writing — your teen’s own survival story using everything they’ve learned
- ⚖️ Ethics — the big questions with no easy answers (Warning: we will be discussing some life-and-death choices)
- 🎯 Grand finale — a live survival scenario where the group makes real-time decisions together
